Hi Visionaries, and welcome to another powerful step into the new year!
With so many voices trying to tell us who we are, it’s easy to feel lost in the noise. The world labels us—by our past, our failures, our status, or our appearance. But here’s the truth: those labels don’t define you. So today, let’s reclaim the question at the core of your purpose: Who am I in Christ?
You Are Not Who the World Says You Are
Maybe you’ve been called too emotional, not good enough, too broken, or too much. But those are temporary labels. God calls you by your eternal identity.
- “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
- “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26)
You are not the sum of your mistakes. You are not defined by trauma or by other people’s opinions. You are who God says you are.
What God Says About You
Let’s walk through five unshakable truths about your identity in Christ:
1. You Are Chosen
God saw you, loved you, and chose you—before the world even knew your name.
- “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world…” (Ephesians 1:4)
2. You Are Redeemed
You are not your past. Jesus paid the full price for you.
- “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:14)
3. You Are Loved
Not conditionally. Not occasionally. You are always loved.
- “I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” (Jeremiah 31:3)
4. You Are a Masterpiece
Yes, you. On purpose, for a purpose.
- “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works…” (Ephesians 2:10)
5. You Are More Than a Conqueror
You’re not just surviving—you’re thriving through Him.
- “In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” (Romans 8:37)
Living From Identity, Not for It
The world tells us we need to earn our worth. God says, I already gave it to you.
- You don’t have to prove yourself to be accepted.
- You don’t have to hide your wounds to be loved.
- You don’t have to hustle for approval when you’re already chosen.
Knowing who you are in Christ gives you rest—a foundation that cannot be shaken by opinions, rejections, or setbacks.
How to Walk in That Identity Every Day
1. Start Your Day With Scripture-Based Affirmations
Speak the truth over yourself: “I am loved. I am seen. I am God’s.”
2. Fast from False Labels
Any time a lie about your identity pops up in your mind, reject it immediately and replace it with the truth.
3. Surround Yourself with Truth-Tellers
Be around people who see you the way God does.
4. Serve from Identity, Not Insecurity
When you know who you are, you don’t have to compete—you’re free to contribute.
You Are Who He Says You Are
So, Visionary, if you’ve been questioning your worth or trying to find your place in the world—stop. Look up. You are chosen. You are beloved. You are His.
Let your identity in Christ silence every lie and ignite every dream He planted in you.
And remember, a visionary mind nurtures a creative spirit. Let your vision guide you, keep your mission organized, and always keep creating. Until next time, stay visionary.
