Hi Visionaries,
There are moments in our lives when we feel as if we’ve been pulled away from God—when our hearts are burdened by the weight of a relationship steeped in manipulation and control. In these trying times, it’s natural to feel lost and alone, much like a little child who can’t understand why his gentle, loving parent seems distant. But remember, even when you feel separated from God, His comforting love is ever-present, ready to guide you back to a place of healing and truth.
The King James Bible reminds us time and again that God’s love never fails. In Isaiah 41:10, the Lord says,
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
These words are not just a promise—they are a tender reassurance that no matter how harsh the winds of manipulation may blow, you are cradled in the everlasting arms of God.
Sometimes, feeling manipulated by others can feel as heart-wrenching as losing a nurturing presence—like the loss of a dear mother. In such moments, let the scripture of Isaiah 66:13 soothe your soul:
“As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you…”
Imagine being held gently in the arms of your loving mother, where every tear is wiped away by a tender touch. In the same way, God offers comfort that is gentle and reassuring, inviting you to come home to His unconditional love.
When you find yourself in a relationship that drains your spirit with manipulation, consider these steps:
- Return to Prayer and Scripture: Just as a little child seeks the warm embrace of a parent, let your heart reach out to God. Spend time in prayer and meditate on verses like Psalm 34:18, “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” These words remind you that even in your pain, God is close by.
- Seek True Fellowship: Surround yourself with those who uplift your spirit and reflect God’s love. Sometimes, stepping away from those who manipulate can open the door to healthier, more nurturing relationships that point you back to the light of God’s truth.
- Reflect on God’s Unfailing Love: Remember that no human manipulation can ever diminish the love God has for you. He is like a gentle shepherd who never leaves His sheep, even when the path seems dark and uncertain.
- Embrace Healing and Forgiveness: Allow yourself the grace to forgive and to heal. Just as a parent forgives a small child for their missteps, God forgives and heals your heart when you choose to trust in His mercy.
My dear little one, know that God is always near—like a comforting lullaby sung softly in your ear. His Word is a lamp unto your feet, guiding you gently out of the shadows of manipulation and back into the radiant light of His love.
