This is fitting because of the scripture that refers to approaching God like small children is found in Matthew 18:3. In this verse, Jesus says, “Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” This verse emphasizes the importance of having a childlike humility and faith when coming to God. So…Just go and tell your Heavenly Father! When the devil comes to test you or tempt you, start to pray!
Facing the Enemy in Life’s Courtroom: A Biblical Strategy
okay so now we know we need to pray. But how do we do that? Well, in order to understand better that God is always going to be fair and just…
Imagine a courtroom – the solemnity, the expectancy. Here, the prosecutor, the enemy, stands ready to accuse. But the judge? God Himself, righteous and just. This scenario mirrors our spiritual battles. When the enemy meddles in our lives, how do we, as believers, respond? The King James Version (KJV) Bible outlines a clear strategy.
In life’s spiritual courtroom, when the enemy stands as the prosecutor, we find ourselves needing a defense strategy. Here’s a Biblically inspired approach:
1. Repentance: The Opening Statement
Just as an honest admission in court sets the stage for justice, repentance cleanses and prepares us. The Bible says in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
2. Hallowing God’s Name: Recognizing the Judge
In this courtroom, Jesus is the Judge. We start by hallowing His name, acknowledging His authority, as taught in Matthew 6:9, “Hallowed be thy name.” and also, in John 5:22. This verse states: “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son.” This passage highlights the authority given to Jesus Christ to execute judgment, as part of His divine role and authority.
3. Thanksgiving: Building a Positive Case
Before presenting our petitions, we express gratitude, like a lawyer showing respect to the court. Philippians 4:6 instructs, “In every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
4. Petition in Prayer: Presenting Your Plea
Armed with Scriptures, present your case. Ephesians 6:17 reminds us to wield “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” oh and just because you are unaware doesn’t matter to the spiritual realm. You have to know how to pray to plead your case.

- James 4:7: Submit to God, resist the devil.
- Ephesians 6:11: Put on God’s armor.
- Psalm 91: Protection and deliverance
- Romans 8:31: God is for us.
- 2 Timothy 1:7: A spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.
- Psalm 23: The Lord as Shepherd.
- Philippians 4:13: Strength in Christ.
- 1 Peter 5:7: Casting cares upon God.
- Isaiah 41:10: God’s reassuring presence.
- Psalm 46:1: God as a refuge.
Do Your Own Study
As in preparing for a court case, it’s essential to do your own study of the Scriptures. Use them to rightly divide the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15) as you plead your case before God.
In this spiritual battle, these steps and Scriptures are your defense strategy, aligning you with God’s power and wisdom. Remember, in this courtroom, the final verdict is always just and for your ultimate good.
After you do your own study. you will find that that the Bible is full of scripture. Well, what you would have to do with something like these erase for example if the enemy is attacking your body and is something they may or may not be life-threatening like benign Cancer, and you don’t like this and do not want to die you try and frame your augment like this, “ Lord the devil is a liar and you told me in . Ephesians 6:11-12: “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” , and now he has had the doctor to tell me it cancer in the vessel where you Holy Spirit dwells. now this won’t do and I know it was not you who put sickness in my body because you said in you word, “ John 10:10: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” So help me father, with the Blood of Jesus, and in the authority of Jesus Christ. Amen.
